Chapman, a nonprofitt university, also has a campus in Yuba The EarlyAdvantage Partnership, whic leaders from the two collegese will sign next week, will allows participants from Yuba Collegew to use Chapman’s advising services and academic participate in information sessions, and to transfedr credit through the use of online and personalizedx advising, a news release said Tuesday.
Also, Yuba Colleges students’ initial application fees willbe waived, and they will receives a 10 percent tuition discount for classes taken at Chapman’s Sacramento Valleg campuses for up to four yearss after they submit of a formall “change of location” to Chapman University “Chapman University College establishes Early Advantags Partnerships with community colleges like Yuba College to help ease the transitio n to universities by giving students the individuap support they need and providing guidance through the entire process,” Chapma n University College chancellor Gary Brahnm said in the release.
“It’s comforting for students to know that the coursre work they have taken at their communitgy college will be transferable to Chapmah University College and that counselors will help them navigate a clear path to pursuing their highereducationh goals.” Yuba College’s partnership with Chapman “will make the transitio to Chapman College practically seamless,” Kay Yuba College president, said in the Community college students are eligible to applyu for the program after they have fulfillec 12 transferable credits at Yuba College with a minimun cumulative grade point average of 2.0 from all schoolx previously attended.
